Stuart Moulthrop is one of the interviews conducted on a single night in Philadelphia. Invited by Nick Montfort to attend this event, I got a chance to interview a handful of folks in the speaking room while a post-event party raged on in the next room. I didn't use a ton of footage from this night, but I did use some, including a statement from Mr. Moulthrop. He's considered a major Hypertext pioneer, who has done all sorts of work in that field, and only recently (at the time of the interview) had gotten into interactive fiction as another medium. I liked the idea of bringing such an academically famous writer into the mix, so I'm glad we got the chance to talk.
